Under general supervision, provides a wide variety of clerical tasks in support of the Auditor’s office including providing information to the public, assessing taxes on vehicles and preparing bills for same, issuing refunds relative to real and personal property taxes appropriate, making corrections on records, processing homestead exemption applications, etc. Uses judgment and discretion in applying accepted policies and procedures, assess tax on real estate for municipalities and preparing bills. Will also float within the departments in the Administration Building as needed. Candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED. Position requires a valid driver’s license.
