Chesterfield County Library System will be accepting applications for a full-time entry level library clerk position. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, a strong computer background, and must be able to work directly with patrons of all ages in hands-on activities and on the use of technology (internet searches, emailing, tablet/smartphone assistance, etc.). Candidate follows general policies and directions of the Chesterfield County Library Board of Trustees, and reports directly to the Library Director. The job also entails varied clerical work including but not limited to issuing and receiving library books and periodicals and assisting patrons in the use of library services and facilities. Other duties include various library tasks such as processing overdue fines, applications for library patron membership, maintaining records of materials, shelving books, etc.
