Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical/receptionist duties in support of the County Council office and other departments including receiving and receipting monies, answering telephone, assisting public,  maintaining records, etc. Orders supplies, prepares and processes purchase orders reconciles bills and maintains records relative to purchases. Reports to Assistant Administrator.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Answers telephone, receives messages, directs calls and provides information to assist public.

  • Receipts monies such as Windsor Park payments, state grant checks, balances petty cash drawer and prepares deposits. Maintains accounting records and prepares reports.

  • Purchasing duties consist of ordering for county departments to include preparing, assigning, and distributing purchase orders to appropriate departments; placing orders for supplies and equipment for all departments; enters data into computer, maintains records , reconciles bills with purchase orders.

  • Maintains adequate inventory of office supplies. Performs purchasing duties relative to same.

  • Utilizes a variety of types of office equipment including computer, typewriter, calculator, fax machine, copier, postage machine, fax, paper shredder etc.

  • Assists co-workers as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as required by Assistant Administrator.
