Job Opportunity Notice

Under regular supervision operates a variety of heavy equipment being utilized on site to maintain all County roads and bridges. Reports to the Public Works Director. Operates various heavy equipment such as motor grader, backhoe, bull dozer, loader, tractor, rollers, scraper, bush hog etc. May operate a truck to travel to various locations throughout the County and haul various materials being utilized on job sites. Assists with other related public works duties such as installing driveways tiles, installing rock on roads, grading, removing road debris, etc. Exercises care and safety in the use of equipment and tools required to complete assigned tasks. Performs duties to maintain the cleanliness and operation of the equipment. Communicates with immediate supervisor, other department personnel, and the public. Must possess a valid SC commercial driver license (CDL).
