Title: Work Guard Camp	Office: Work Camp
Salary: Commensurate with Experience and Qualifications

 

WORK CAMP GUARD

Under limited supervision, performs various semi-routine duties which ensure discipline, safety and security among inmates confined in the County Work Camp. Performs duties in accordance with federal, state and local jail laws and standards. Supervises and monitors prisoners, processes incoming subjects such as searching, completing necessary forms, photographing issuing supplies and clothing etc. Conducts security checks and answers calls. Minimum training and experience: High school graduate with training and certification as required from the SC Criminal Justice Academy and one to two years of police or prison work experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Must posses a valid SC Drivers License. Works under stressful, high risk conditions. Reports directly to the Work Camp Supervisor.
